Salmon Kings Lose Two

January 8, 2006

The Victoria Salmon Kings were on the longest winning streak of the year. It was two games. Sadly, in just 24 hours, they matched that in a losing streak.

The Kings lost to the Pacific Division leading Fresno Falcons 4-3 on Friday night and were blown out 6-2 on Saturday.

Victoria now holds a record of 12-23-1. On a bright note, our 2-game losing streak is better by many around the league. Pheonix has gone 8 in a row and Columbia has lost 9.

The Salmon Kings next meet Idaho in Boise on Thursday and Friday night.

On another note, Victorian Georgia Murray (pictured, credit to G. Woodburn), who sang the national anthems in Victoria Saturday night, will be doing the same at Madison Square Gardens for the Knicks and Rangers in February. She also recently filmed a show for Boston Legal in which she performs 3 songs on camera. She was recently discovered while performing at her father's luxury resort in Nimmo Bay.
